DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 17 -- THE Deputy Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Hamis Mwinjuma has urged parents and guardians to identify, nurture and invest in their childrens talents noting that a parents role is not to dictate what a child should become but to help them excel in their abilities.

The Deputy Minister made the call in Dar es Salaam stressing that it is important for parents to listen to their children and recognise their unique abilities alongside formal education.

According to the minister, every child possesses a unique ability or talent that deserves to be identified and developed while warning parents against discouraging children from pursuing areas in which they showed potential.
