ISTANBUL, Turkiye, April 17 -- Tanzanian Member of Parliament, Fatma Rembo, has called for increased participation of young people in policymaking, peacebuilding, and development, stressing that youth should be key actors rather than passive observers in shaping the future of nations.

She made the remarks while addressing the Youth Forum of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) during the 152nd IPU Assembly currently underway at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Rembo emphasized that meaningful youth inclusion is critical in preventing conflicts, promoting reconciliation, and supporting post-conflict recovery, ultimately contributing to long-term national stability.
