MUSOMA, Feb. 24 -- THE Tanzanian government has embarked on rehabilitating the Musoma Port so as to open more economic opportunities in the Mara region.
The Minister for Transport, Prof Makame Mbarawa revealed this during his visit to the Lake Zone where he toured around the Musoma Port noting that the government plans to rehabilitate and improve all Great Lakes ports, including those on Lake Nyasa, Tanganyika, and Victoria, with the aim of strengthening water transport in the country, increasing revenue for citizens and respective regions, and boosting regional economic integration.
