BUSAN, July 27 -- THE Tanzanian government has outlined a series of measures it is implementing, in collaboration with UNESCO, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and other international partners, to ensure the Ngorongoro Conservation Area retains its World Heritage status while improving the livelihoods of local communities.

The initiatives were presented during a special seminar organised by Tanzania on the sidelines of the 48th Session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, currently underway in Busan, Republic of Korea.
