DODOMA, May 25 -- THE Tanzanian government has announced tenders for the construction of seven sports schools as part of a nationwide plan to nurture sporting talent and expand sports development infrastructure across the country.

Deputy Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports Hamis Mwinjuma made the statement at the Parliament in Dodoma today, May 25, 2026, when responding to a question from Nkasi South MP Moses Kaegele, who sought to know the governments plans to build sports schools in constituencies to help identify and develop football talent.
