MOROGORO, Feb. 25 -- THE Tanzanian government has hailed the 700bn/- investment by the Kilombero Sugar Company for its significant contribution to reducing the countrys employment challenges, especially in critical sectors such as engineering and other technical professions.

The Minister of State in the Presidents Office for Planning and Investment, Prof. Kitila Mkumbo, made the remarks yesterday during a working visit to Kilombero District in Morogoro Region, where he toured the sugar factory. During the visit, the Minister noted that the investment has created numerous direct and indirect job opportunities and strengthened the industrial sector, which plays a key role in boosting the national economy.
