DAR ES SALAAM, Dec. 12 -- THE Ministry of Energy has announced that it is in discussions with the Ministry of Finance to reduce costs and taxes on equipment used to convert motor vehicles from fuel to gas.

This was stated by Deputy Minister of Energy, Salome Makamba, during her visit to the main gas refueling station at Mlimani City in Dar es Salaam. She said the ministry plans to ensure that by June next year, every major road in Dar es Salaam will have a gas refueling station. There are also plans to establish large gas stations in other regions, including Morogoro, Dodoma, Moshi, Tanga, and Arusha.
