DAR ES SALAAM, Oct. 9 -- THE National Environmental Management Council (NEMC) and the Zanzibar Environmental Management Authority (ZEMA) have reached an agreement to strengthen their cooperation in the management and conservation of the environment in the country.

The agreement was reached following a two-day meeting held on October 7 and 8, 2025, where board members and experts from both institutions gathered to discuss and exchange experiences on the implementation of their duties.
