DODOMA, Aug. 18 -- THE Deputy Minister for Energy, Salome Makamba, has presented a report to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy and Minerals outlining developments in renewable energy, the governments strategy to diversify the countrys energy sources, and the implementation of strategic electricity generation projects.

The report was presented before the committee chaired by Subira Mgalu, with Simon Songe Lusengekile serving as Vice Chairman. Makamba also outlined the governments plans to strengthen the capacity of the national grid to meet growing electricity demand and ensure a reliable power supply.
