DODOMA, March 27 -- THE Tanzanian government has placed the blue economy at the centre of its upcoming fiscal agenda, with the Vice-Presidents Office outlining key interventions aimed at unlocking Tanzanias vast marine potential.

Minister of State in the Vice-Presidents Office, Hamad Yussuf Masauni, presented the 2025/26 budget implementation report and expenditure estimates for 2026/27 to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Administration, Constitution and Legal Affairs in Dodoma on March 26, 2026.

Masauni said the office will prioritise coordination of the National Blue Economy Policy (2024) and its implementation strategy in the next financial year, as part of efforts to maximise benefits from marine resources.
