DAR ES SALAAM, March 3 -- TANZANIA, has today, March 3, 2026, joined other countries around the globe to celebrate World Wildlife Day, a day dedicated to recognizing the contribution of wildlife to social, economic, and environmental development.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director General of the Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB), Ephraim Mafuru, said for Tanzania, wildlife is not only a natural heritage but also an integral part of the nations identity.
“Wildlife is the backbone of our tourism sector. It provides jobs and income for thousands of citizens. It is a source of pride that showcases our country internationally,” he said.
