DOHA, Feb. 25 -- THE Tanzanian government has launched a strategic campaign to promote tanzanite gemstones in Qatar, aiming to expand international markets, attract investment, and boost tourism.

Minister for Minerals, Anthony Mavunde announced this today during a visit to the Tanzanian Embassy in Qatar, where he met with embassy officials to discuss the initiative.

Minister Mavunde noted that the Tanzanite market has experienced a slight decline in recent years, leading to lower prices.
