DAR ES SALAAM, April 4 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan is set to officially launch the National Supply Chain Management Policy on April 8, 2026, in a move aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability and efficiency in the use of public resources.
The launch is expected to take place at the Jakaya Kikwete Convention Centre.
According to the Acting Commissioner for Public Procurement Policy at the Ministry for Finance, Alex Haraba, the policy will establish a comprehensive framework to manage all supply chain activities in the public sector from needs assessment and procurement to storage, distribution and disposal of assets addressing longstanding gaps caused by the absence of a unified policy guideline.
