ARUSHA, June 18 -- THE Tanzanian government said it has implemented a range of strategies for the fast growing tourism sector, including promoting tourist attractions in new international markets, improving tourism infrastructure, and diversifying tourism products to increase the sectors contribution to the national economy.

Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Ashatu Kijaji, said the government has launched a special initiative to market Tanzanias tourist attractions in Far Eastern countries in an effort to attract more visitors from the region.
