ST PETERSBURG, June 6 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has declared Tanzania ready to become one of Africas leading investment destinations, inviting international firms to participate in the countrys major strategic development projects.

Addressing the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026) in Russia on June 5, 2026, the President highlighted opportunities in port development, special economic zones and manufacturing industries as key areas requiring investment partnerships to drive economic growth and job creation.

Dr Samia singled out the Bagamoyo Special Economic Zone (BSEZ) as a flagship project that offers significant opportunities for global investors.
