MOROGORO, Oct. 2 -- TANZANIA has declared seven sites linked to Africas liberation history, along with archaeological reserves, as national heritage for them to be recognized, preserved, and legally protected.
According to a statement issued today, October 2nd, 2025,by the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports on Thursday, the sites were declared through the Government Notice No. 582 of September 26, 2025, which was signed by the Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Ambassador Pindi Chana, on August 26, 2025.
The ministry mentioned the sites as the ANC freedom fighters camp at Mazimbu in Morogoro, the FRELIMO freedom fighters camp located at Samora Machel Secondary School, and the freedom fighters camp at Kihesa Mgagao...
