DODOMA, Nov. 6 -- TANZANIA is exploring science and technology innovations to reduce water supply costs and improve access to the resource for households and the Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO).

Deputy Minister for Energy, Salome Makamba, said science, technology and innovation provide young people with opportunities to apply their knowledge to address community challenges and contribute to national development.

She made the remarks on November 5, 2026, during the ongoing Science, Technology and Innovation Exhibition at the Parliament grounds in Dodoma. The exhibition has brought together scientists, innovators and researchers to showcase technological developments and solutions to various challenges.
