Dodoma, March 6 --  AS Tanzania targets increasing fish production to one million tonnes by 2037, Deputy Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, Ms Ngwasi Kamani, has instructed the Fisheries Education and Training Agency (FETA) to expedite the rollout of the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Fishing Vessel Personnel (STCW-F) programme.

Ms Kamani made the remarks recently while launching FETAs third Ministerial Advisory Board in Dodoma, noting that the programme will be conducted alongside an observer course as the country seeks to strengthen the fishing sector and boost the blue economy.
