DODOMA, April 1 -- PRIME Minister Mwigulu Nchemba has said that the government has stepped up efforts to strengthen the mining sector as part of a broader strategy to increase national revenue and expand employment opportunities.

Presenting the governments budget speech and outlook for the 2026/2027 financial year in the Parliament in Dodoma, Dr Nchemba said the mining sector continues to serve as a key pillar in driving economic growth, alongside natural resources and tourism.
