DURBAN, Aug. 7 -- TANZANIA has called on member states of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) to prioritise regional programmes and projects to ensure efficient use of limited resources and accelerate the attainment of the blocs development goals.

The call was made by the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Said Shaib Mussa, who led the Tanzanian delegation to the SADC Standing Committee of Senior Officials meeting held in Durban, South Africa, on August 6-7.

The meeting forms part of preparations for the 46th Ordinary SADC Summit of Heads of State and Government scheduled to take place in Durban on August 17.
