SONGWE, Oct. 23 -- THE Tanzanian government, through the Universal Communications Service Access Fund (UCSAF), is set to construct a new phase of 280 communication towers across the country, focusing on border zones, wildlife reserves, and key railway corridors, including the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) and TAZARA line, to enhance connectivity and national security.
UCSAF Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Peter Mwasalyanda, said the initiative is part of the governments ongoing efforts to ensure no area is left behind in accessing reliable communication service.
