DAR ES SALAAM, July 3 -- TANZANIA has entered a new phase of its development journey with the inception of Vision 2050, an ambitious blueprint that outlines the countrys aspirations for the next quarter century.

The vision envisages a competitive economy, a prosperous society, a highly skilled workforce and strong institutions capable of adapting to a rapidly changing world.

According to Dira 2050, Tanzanias long-term aspiration is to become a prosperous, just, inclusive and self-reliant nation supported by a one-trillion-dollar economy and a per capita income of 7,000 US dollars by 2050.
