DODOMA, June 3 -- THE Tanzanian government is implementing a road expansion project in Tunduma, Songwe Region, to ease traffic congestion and improve the movement of cargo from the Port of Dar es Salaam to neighbouring countries, including Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC),the Minister for Works, Abdallah Ulega has revealed.

The minister made the statement at the Parliament in Dodoma today, June 3, 2026 adding that the project has been prioritised by the Presidents administration due to the strategic role Tunduma plays in Tanzanias economy and regional trade.
