LONDON, March 7 -- THE Tanzanian government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties with members of the Commonwealth in areas of good governance, democracy, and shared development.

This was revealed today in London when the Tanzanian Minister of State in the Presidents Office (Special Duties), Professor Palamagamba Kabudi, held discussions with the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Nations, Shirley Botchwey.

During the talks, Prof Kabudi said  Tanzania continues to value the role and contribution of the Commonwealth in promoting international cooperation and strengthening democratic institutions among member states.
