DAR ES SALAAM, Feb. 11 -- TANZANIA, and Somalia have agreed to strengthen diplomatic ties by establishing a Joint Cooperation Commission to boost trade and investments.

The agreement was reached in a discussion between Tanzanias Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Foreign Affair and East African Cooperation, Dr Samwel Shelukindo, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the Federal Republic of Somalia in Dar es Salaam.

Moreover, the discussions that focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation also agreed to implement five MoUs signed in December 2024 Including one on immigration matters on Tanzanias side.
