DAR ES SALAAM, June 22 -- THE ongoing partnership between Tanzania and Finland has been said to demonstrate a shared commitment to promoting sustainable development, especially for smallholder farmers and communities involved in forest management.

This was stated by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr Hassan Abbasi, with the Co-Chairman, the Deputy Ambassador of Finland, Tomi Lounio, while chairing the Second Session of the Steering Board of the Land Use, Forestry and Value Chain Development Project (FORLAND).
