DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 17 -- TANZANIA and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are set to deepen trade and investment ties as President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo begins a two-day state visit to Tanzania today.

President Tshisekedi, who arrives in the country following an invitation by President Samia Suluhu Hassan, is expected to hold official talks with President Samia in Zanzibar, focusing on expanding cooperation in trade and investment, agriculture, mining, energy, infrastructure and transport.

According to information released by the Government Communication Unit, the two leaders discussions will also cover health, digital connectivity, as well as peace, security and regional stability.
