DODOMA, Aug. 14 -- DEPUTY Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Dr. Doto Biteko, has announced that the Tanzania Electric Supply Company (Tanesco) is set to recruit new employees to keep pace with the growing number of Tanzanians using electricity services, including in rural areas.
Speaking today, Thursday, August 14, 2025, in Dodoma during the launch of a subsidized electric stove distribution program for Tanesco employees, Dr. Biteko said President Samia Suluhu Hassan has approved the hiring of additional staff to strengthen the companys workforce.
