DODOMA, Aug. 14 -- THE Managing Director of the Tanzania Electric Supply Company (Tanesco), Lazaro Twange, has announced that the company has launched modern electric stoves that use minimal electricity and cook food quickly, as part of efforts to promote the use of clean cooking energy.

Speaking today, Thursday, August 14, 2025, during the launch ceremony of a special subsidized stove distribution program for Tanesco employees, held at the Jakaya Kikwete Hall in Dodoma, Twange said the initiative aims to use the companys employees as ambassadors for clean energy adoption.
