COAST REGION, May 20 -- TANESCO Managing Director Lazaro Twange has said the 400-kilovolt power transmission line project from Chalinze to Zuzu is expected to be completed by August 18, 2026.

Speaking on May 20, 2026 during an inspection tour of the project in the regions of Morogoro and Dodoma, Twange said the project is important because it transmits electricity generated directly from the Julius Nyerere Hydropower Project, passing through Chalinze to Dodoma.
