DODOMA, July 30 -- THE Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) has increased its capital base to 452.16bn/-, significantly strengthening its capacity to provide financial services to farmers, livestock keepers and fishers across the country.

TADB Managing Director, Frank Nyabundege, disclosed the development while briefing journalists in Dodoma today, July 30, 2026, on the banks performance during the 2025/26 financial year and its strategic outlook for 2026/27.

Nyabundege said the banks capital stood at 60bn/- before the Sixth Phase Government assumed office. In 2021, the government injected an additional 208bn/-, raising the capital base to 268bn/-.
