ARUSHA, Oct. 5 -- THE Speaker of the National Assembly, Mussa Azzan Zungu has called for equal opportunities for women to participate in leadership and decision making noting that true good governance cannot exist in an environment of discrimination and exclusion.

Zungu made the remarks today in Arusha when addressing the Women Parliamentarians Forum held alongside the 153rd Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly, stressing that a society cannot achieve full empowerment when half of its population is left behind.
