DAR ES SALAAM, June 18 -- The Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) has imposed fines on Simba SC and Young Africans SC (Yanga) over separate incidents that occurred during NBC Premier League matches played on June 16, 2026.

According to a statement issued by the League Management and Administration Committee, Simba SC has been fined TZS 10 million after its supporters splashed water on first assistant referee Frank Komba during the match against Pamba Jiji FC, which Simba won 2-1.

TPLB said the penalty was imposed because the offense was a repeat occurrence during the 2025/2026 season, with Simba supporters having been involved in similar incidents in three different matches, leading to disciplinary action against the club.
