ZANZIBAR, Sept. 22 -- CHAMA Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) parliamentary candidate for the Tunguu constituency, Simai Mohamed Said, has urged residents not to sell their land, noting that the CCM-led government has already embarked on a major road construction project aimed at increasing land value and opening up new economic opportunities.

Simai made the remarks during the official launch of his campaign for the Tunguu constituency ahead of the October 2025 General Elections.

He revealed that the government has initiated the construction of a 48km paved  road stretching from Tunguu to Makunduchi in the Southern Region of Unguja.
