Dar es Salaam, June 6 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has firmly dismissed suggestions that Tanzania is operating under sanctions, assuring global leaders and investors that the country remains focused on development and economic transformation.

Speaking during a high-level panel discussion at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2026, President Samia responded to a question from moderator Geeta Mohan on whether sanctions could affect Tanzanias development ambitions.
