DODOMA, May 4 -- DODOMA District Administrative Secretary (DAS) Sakina Mbugi has called on residents to strengthen cooperation with the Fire and Rescue Force to prevent fire incidents and enhance the safety of lives and property.

Speaking after officiating a sports bonanza organised ahead of World Firefighters Day to be marked on May 4, 2026, Ms Mbugi said the commemoration highlights the critical role played by the Fire and Rescue Force in protecting communities.

She noted that the event also provides an opportunity for the public to reflect on the importance of early precautions to avert fire disasters.
