DODOMA, Oct. 9 -- DODOMA Regional Commissioner, Ms Rosemary Senyamule has urged religious leaders to stand firm in preserving the countrys peace and unity as the nation heads toward the General Election.
Speaking during a meeting with religious leaders held in Dodoma on Tuesday, RC Senyamule underscored the importance of safeguarding peace that Tanzania has enjoyed since independence, emphasising that it is a legacy that must be protected at all costs.
“We must stand firm to protect the peace of our country. The Father of the Nation, Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere, made great efforts to ensure Tanzania remained peaceful and we should never wish to lose that peace,” she said.
