DAR ES SALAAM, Oct. 2 -- RESIDENTS of Kimara and Mbezi have parted ways with rapid transport challenges after the arrival of MOFAT, the new operator of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses.
The new buses have begun operating today along the Mbezi and Kimara routes in Dar es Salaam.
The new buses aim to address the challenges of bus shortages and the poor condition of some of the BRT buses on Kimara road.

This development comes one day after the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Albert Chalamila, announced that the government would transfer some new buses designated for the Mbagala route to the Kimara route to ease the current bus shortage facing commuters.
