TANGA, June 27 -- TANGA Regional Commissioner, Dr Batilda Burian, has directed the leadership of the Tanga City Council to ensure that Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras installed in various parts of the city are directly linked to the Tanzania Police Force systems.

She said the move is aimed at strengthening the security and safety of citizens and their property, while also improving efficiency in combating crime amid the rapid growth of economic activities in Tanga City.

The directive was issued in Tanga during a special council meeting held to review the Controller and Auditor General (CAG) audit queries for the 2024/25 financial year.
