MOROGORO, Aug. 19 -- POLICE in Morogoro Region are searching for a man identified as Anderson Jackson over the alleged murder of a 38-year-old woman and her nine-month-old son in Kilosa District.

The victims, Asha Lukonge, a farmer from Muoso Hamlet in Ilakala Village, and her infant son Ashim Mkeza, were found dead on the evening of August 15, 2026.

Morogoro Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Andrew Kantimbo, said the two were allegedly strangled, with the suspect fleeing the scene and remaining at large.

ACP Kantimbo said Jackson had been entrusted with caring for the family after the womans husband, Fabiano Mkeza, travelled to Kigoma Region.
