COAST REGION, Oct. 23 -- POLICE in Coast Region have reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining strong relations with journalists, particularly as the country heads towards the upcoming General Election.

The assurance was given during the Regional Dialogue on Safety and Security of Journalists, held recently in Kibaha Municipality.

The dialogue aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two sides and promoting education on peace and national security.

Speaking during the event, Regional Police Commander (RPC) ACP Salim Morcase stressed the importance of collaboration between the police and the media in helping communities understand the value of peace and stability.
