PM graces the Steering Committee tasked to ensure Tanzania co-hosts epic AFCON finals
ZANZIBAR, July 28 -- PRIME Minister Mwigulu Nchemba has today, July 28, 2026, chaired a meeting of the National Steering Committee for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) preparations in Zanzibar, where leaders reviewed key milestones and strategies for organising the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
The meeting focused on strengthening coordination among various sectors to ensure Tanzania meets the international standards required for the successful preparation and delivery of AFCON 2027.
