HANDENI, Feb. 13 -- PRIME Minister Mwigulu Nchemba has laid a foundation stone for the construction of a 132-kilovolt power substation project in Mkata, Tanga Region, worth 98.46bn/-.
The project, which is expected to be completed in October this year, is anticipated to resolve electricity challenges for residents of Handeni and Kilindi District, while also increasing revenue and creating employment opportunities for various groups, including youth.
The Prime Minister is in the Tanga Region for a five-day working visit to inspect projects worth 758bn/-across eight districts of the region.
