DAR ES SALAAM, April 22 -- THE Oryx Gas Tanzania Limited (OGTL) has handed over 200 sets of gas cylinders to the government through the Ministry of Energy as part of efforts to support the national clean cooking energy agenda.

The cylinders were officially presented on Tuesday during the Mama na Baba Lishe conference held in Dar es Salaam, where the President, Samia Suluhu Hassan, officiated as the guest of honour.

At the event, President Samia symbolically distributed the Oryx cylinders to selected Mama na Baba Lishe vendors, signaling the governments commitment to accelerating the transition from traditional cooking fuels such as charcoal and firewood to cleaner and more efficient liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
