UK, Sept. 10 -- Tanzania is set to deepen its cooperation with the United Kingdom and the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in key maritime areas, including safety, security, environmental protection, and capacity building.
This commitment was shared by Tanzanias Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, during a meeting in London with IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Domínguez.
Minister Kombo emphasized Tanzanias appreciation of the IMOs partnership and its support in enhancing the countrys strategic maritime position in the Indian Ocean. He highlighted the governments dedication to marine conservation, noting the critical role ports play in both regional and global trade.
