DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 22 -- THE Tanzanian government has injected 50bn/- investment in a renewed bid to transform the countrys transport sector through infrastructure development, capacity building, and research.
The funding will be used by the National Institute of Transport (NIT), which is also marking its fifth anniversary as a national center of excellence in transport education and training.
The announcement was made during the 3rd International Conference on Transport, Logistics and Management, currently underway in Dar es Salaam. The conference brings together local and international stakeholders to discuss innovative solutions, safety improvements, and sustainable mobility across Africa.
