DODOMA, June 24 -- THE government has announced plans to introduce a new Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Policy Framework, aimed at strengthening oversight of national development plans and ensuring that public programmes deliver measurable results.

Minister of State in the Presidents Office (Planning and Investment), Professor Kitila Mkumbo, revealed the move in the National Assembly yesterday, while responding to parliamentary contributions, during debates on the state of the economy and the government budget in Dodoma.
