New intervention to tame Ebola in trade, migration corridors
Dar es Salaam, Aug. 22 -- A NEW regional intervention has been launched to prevent the cross-border spread of Ebola through major trade and migration corridors linking the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) with neighbouring countries, including Tanzania.
The East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC) has rolled out a six-month emergency response covering 33 priority Points of Entry (PoEs) along 16 major trade and migration corridors connecting the DRC with Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Angola, Malawi and Mozambique.
