NECTA's revised education framework ends the Standard 7 system
DAR ES SALAAM, Sept. 18 -- THE National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) has announced that pupils currently in Standard Five and Standard Six will complete primary education in 2027 under changes being implemented in line with the countrys revised education framework.
According to a statement issued by NECTA, the changes are being implemented in accordance with the Education and Training Policy of 2014, 2023 edition, and the revised curricula.
The statement said pupils currently in Standard Six will sit for the Primary School Leaving Examination in 2027 when they reach Standard Seven.
