TABORA, Oct. 6 -- CCM presidential running mate, Ambassador Emmanuel Nchimbi has pledged continued efforts to boost Tabora Regions economy through the completion of tobacco processing and fertiliser factories.
Addressing hundreds of residents at a campaign rally in Sikonge Constituency yesterday, Amb Nchimbi said the ruling party aims to ensure tobacco farmers benefit from reliable markets, fair prices and improved production environments through value-adding industries that raise incomes and create jobs.
“Tabora has already increased tobacco production by five per cent, but we want to go further. In the next five years, we will complete construction of a tobacco processing factory and a fertiliser plant,” he said.
